Merch Update

Over at the SMNnews/Official Dillinger Escape Plan forum there's a new thread called "The Official Dillinger Merch Thread". More info below:

The goal of this thread is to address all Dillinger related questions as far as merch goes.

Two major things that should address most of your concerns.

1. The Party Smasher shirts have not shipped yet because it turned out to be way more of a pain in the ass than any one anticipated to get them printed. They should be out within two weeks. And by that I mean hopefully in your hands.

2. The 82588 shirts were far and away the best selling Dillinger shirts ever post-Chris. There's a massive backlog to get them out that is priority one over everything else. There's a massive stockpile of shit sitting in a certain band member's kitchen right now that everyday is getting smaller, but still takes time. Everyone will get their shirt and everyone in Dillinger wants you guys to know that and is sorry it's taken so long. It's really a testament to the A) Awesomeness of the shirt B) Awesomeness of the song C) Awesomeness of Justice and the size of Metallica.

Dillinger has always been a true DIY band.. Even as the band has gotten bigger. They've always wanted complete control over everything, and they've got it.. For better or worse. There are no companies involved with the actual processing and shipping of the orders, it's the band themselves, and now me (just a dude).

The domestic 82588 shirts are going out first only for the reason that it's easier for me to nail them out because I don't have to fuck with that customs form. The rest of you guys are in no way forgotten. Infact the UK is taking up a corner of my couch with labels and envelopes. And dude in Latvia, you're not forgotten because your name made my font have smiley faces and musical notes. Pretty awesome.

I'm sure there are still a billion things you're wondering, so ask away. But just know everyone in the band reads this forum, and it's a priority to get you what you've paid for.

Vote for DEP For SMNnews' Metal Album of the Year! (Or Not)

SMNnews are currently taking votes for Metal Album of the Year (2007). Ire Works by DEP is up there, so I urge you to take a minute and vote away right here. (Please note that you can only vote once.) I'm not sure when this ends, but hopefully we'll get enough votes through to get DEP some chance at winning this thing.

Update: It seems as though the site to vote is down. My guess is that it should be up again soon, but I'll try to find out and let you all know what's happening soon.

2nd Update: Whoops! According to the anonymous commenter, voting ended months ago, even though it let me vote just a few days ago. I must've followed an old link by mistake. Does anyone have any idea who actually won this thing?
