THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN : The Dillinger Escape Plan is currently taking a few months off from touring, but don't expect us to stay home for ltoo long. If we were a crack head, the road would be our pipe. We can't stop hitting that shit! We'll be back out soon. In the meantime however, we stay busy as always. We're writing for a new album, dealing with the million little behind the scenes things that are always happening, and plotting our next wave of attack. To keep yourself as up to date as you can be, check out our page on the regular, we're constantly updating our whereabouts and whatsabouts over there.

SPYLACOPA : Spylacopa is done with it's first EP. Here's the press release that just came out today :

SPYLACOPA debut EP to surface in November;
Featuring members of CANDIRIA, THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN,
ISIS and MADE OUT OF BABIES

SPYLACOPA -- the new studio project featuring John LaMacchia (Candiria), Jeff Caxide (Isis), Greg Puciato (The Dillinger Escape Plan) and Julie Christmas (Made Out of Babies / Battle of Mice) -- will release their debut five-song Ep this November on RISING PULSE RECORDS .

The band which LaMacchia formed to explore experimental and hypnotic compositions while playing guitar in rock/jazz/crossover band CANDIRIA have been working since 2006 on the Ep. About the band and debut release, LaMacchia comments: "These are some of the best musicians I've ever worked with and the music on this EP speaks volumes of their talent. Fans will definitely be pleased."

While all the musicians are busy with their other bands and touring schedules, LaMacchia doesn't rule out the chance of a few shows with the band. "It will be a challenge, but a show or two might pop up. Fingers crossed."

BIO:
Fueled aggression, experimental precision, and driving infectious hooks are just some of the parts comprising the whole that is Spylacopa – a musical venture spearheaded by Candiria lead guitarist and songwriter John LaMacchia. The band can be described as painters of a vast audio landscape, putting listeners on a constant musical journey. And while Spylacopa often changes gears, and is far from pedestrian – it is very feel-oriented.

Formed by LaMacchia in 2000, Spylacopa was simply intended to be a conduit for his experimental and hypnotic compositions. But that soon20snowballed into something more significant. The first Spylacopa release, "Collective Unconscious," appeared on Candiria's C.O.M.A. Imprint in 2002. And some years later, in 2005, with the addition of The Dillinger Escape Plan's Greg Puciato and Jeff Caxide of Isis, another Spylacopa single, "The Duke," was released on Undreradar Records. Feeling chemistry, camaraderie, and a river of creative juices, in late 2006, Spylacopa began to work on its first official release – but not before the addition of yet another member – frontwoman Julie Christmas from Made Out of Babies.

The wheels are in motion and the band will release its self-titled, five-song debut CD on Rising Pulse Records this November. -- By Wayne Daren Schneiderman, Aug. 2008

What else....I'm working on some other stuff that will surface in the distant future, some writing, some music. I'll keep you up to date on everything as progress is made. Feel free to send me a message, I always do my best to get back to everyone. All of our time is equally valuable, so if you take time out of your day to read this, or to write me, I will most certainly take my time to read what you have to say and try to respond to you.

Keep an eye out for a track of this debut EP to hit Spylacopa's MySpace page next week.
